A bleeding heart, rainbow fueled, passionate nightingale has taken a form that is GeeXella. GeeXella has influences varying from southern hip-pop to bachata which derives from their family. This afro-latina has generated a new sound with a fusion in her roots. A sound not only to invigorate the soul, stimulates the mind but also embodies who they are. GeeXella.
They have been a core organizer for Girls Rock Camp of Jacksonville for over five years, it is an organization that cultivates self-empowerment and positive identity development in girls and trans-youth. They believe in personal freedom, and often speaks for the misunderstood. It doesn't stop at MCing, as a singer ,activist and organizer they also DJ's their favorite tunes around Jacksonville. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing in the life of GeeXella either. They are a living product of their battle scars and is proud of it. They survived an almost disastrous (maybe use fatal) collision which caused their car to flip three times. They climbed out physically unscathed but the blood inside of them was boiling, as they were granted a new life. GeeXella touches on this and other stories in their EP entitled “gee things” It is available on all streaming platforms.
